It’s hard to believe that The Heart That Found You officially launches on November 4th — just in time for National Adoption Month!
So much has been happening behind the scenes, and I couldn’t be more excited to share a few updates as this story begins to make its way into the world.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been connecting with booksellers, librarians, and readers at two wonderful Independent Bookstore conferences — one in South San Francisco for California stores and another in Denver for the mountain states region. It’s been incredible to see how many people have connected with the book’s message about love, belonging, and the many beautiful ways families are formed.
I’ve also been working to spread the word online and build a stronger presence on Facebook and Instagram. It’s been heartwarming to see so many early readers sharing their excitement and stories of connection — exactly the kind of community I hoped this book might inspire.
And if you’re in the Bay Area, there are a number of book signings and storytime events coming up around and after the launch, including stops in San Ramon, Berkeley, Palo Alto, and Napa, with more to come! Each one is a chance to connect, celebrate, and share this story with families and kids of all ages.
One particularly special moment — I’ll be appearing on KTVU Fox 2 News in the Bay Area on Sunday, November 9th at 9:35 AM, sharing more about The Heart That Found You and the inspiration behind it. I hope you’ll tune in!
